Borough of West Wildwood, NJ – Aluminum Railings for Handicap Entrance
The Borough of West Wildwood hired Mitchell Welding & Iron Works to fabricate and install custom aluminum railings for their new handicap entrance at city hall. Approximately 90 feet of railings were fabricated from 1-1/4″ clear anodized aluminum pipe. Railings included handicap access ramp, break area and front stair railings.

Aluminum Anodized Railings – Henny’s Seafood Take Out
Gary Blum, the former owner of Henny’s on 96th St. in Stone Harbor N.J. has opened up a new seafood takeout restaurant located on 82nd street in Stone Harbor. The former site of Rosemans’s Marine has been transformed into a one stop seafood shop. Fabricated and installed are aluminum handicap ramp railings, front stair railings and backrests for the bench seats around the deck. A lot of late nights help get these rails fabricated and installed in 2 weeks!! A bright dip/light brush finish on the railings give a marine look to match the new awnings. Mitchell Welding & Iron Works also developed a flood gate system for the walls that are now required on commercial buildings.

Centennial Park – Wildwood Crest, NJ
Celebrating 100 years, Wildwood Crest, NJ is developing a small outdoor ampitheater and park on Fern Road on the beach for concerts during the summer. Mitchell Welding & Iron Works fabricated and erected the 12″ Schedule 80 galvanized steel columns to support the custom canopy roof. Along with the structural steel, we are also installed custom radius aluminum handicap ramp railing and stair rails.

Galvanized Exterior Steel Staircase
New to the Wildwood boardwalk this summer is Captain Jacks restaurant. Mitchell Iron Works fabricated a lot of strucutral steel supports for the fancy roof system as well as a galvanized staircase for the rear entrance to the building. The stairs were fabricated from steel channel, hot dipped galvanized and had custom steel non-slip grating treads and landings to finish it off.

Last Mast erected at Ignis Fatuus – Morey’s Piers new Ghost Ship!
The last piece to the puzzle was erected today for the new attraction at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood. Ignis Fatuus, the top secret ghost ship project recently revealed hung the sign today on the aluminum mast fabricated by Mitchell Welding & Iron Works.

Ghost Ship Masts erected!
Two masts were custom fabricated and erected at Project 05292010 on Monday.
The main mast measures 35 ft. tall and is complete with crows nest ladder rungs, outriggers, stays and rigging. The front smaller jib crane measures 25′ tall. It has a front picking jib crane complete with block and tackle lifting hook, stays and rope cleats.

Custom Bench Seat Frames for Kiddie Pool
The Port Royal Hotel in Wildwood Crest, NJ has added some custom bench seats that wraps around the newly re-finished kiddie pool. The bench seats are made from alumium and are topped off with 1″ IPE wood to look like the back of a mastercraft wake boat. They are anchored into the footings under the pavers and connected to the custom railing installed last year. The look finishes off the marina style look the Port Royal is moving towards.

Custom “Marina Style” railings
The Port Royal hotel in Wildwood Crest, NJ has made some changes to the hotel entrance. To accent the new giant flagpoles erected at the main entrance, as custom marina style ornamental iron railing is being fabricated for the staircase. This three line horizontal railing has a custom radius at the top and bottom wrapping around two large flower pots. The top of the railing will receive a custom wood handrail to complete the look. The railing is hot dip galvanized and then painted white when completed.

Ship’s Ladder installed on Secret Project
Recently installed is our custom fabricated Ship’s ladder at a location to be revealed 05292010. The ladder was hot dip galvanized and included custom treads with a fancy diamond plate nosing. We would tell you more, but you know the phrase. Stay Tuned…
